Absolutely Prohibited Items

These items cannot be listed on EGO Arms under any circumstances, regardless of the seller's location, license, or intent. Listings containing these items will be removed without notice and the seller's account will be suspended pending review.

🚫
Stolen Firearms
Any firearm reported stolen or known to be stolen. Sellers are responsible for verifying that any firearm they list has a clean title. Listing a stolen firearm constitutes trafficking and will be reported to the ATF and local law enforcement.
18 U.S.C. § 922(j)
🚫
Post-1986 Machine Guns (Civilian)
Fully automatic firearms manufactured after May 19, 1986, may not be sold to civilians. Pre-1986 registered machine guns may be sold by licensed SOT dealers — see Conditional Listings below.
Hughes Amendment, FOPA 1986
🚫
Undetectable Firearms ("Ghost Guns" without serial numbers)
Privately made firearms (PMFs) or 3D-printed firearms without federally required serial numbers may not be listed. Serialized PMFs may only be listed if all applicable federal and state requirements are met and fully disclosed.
18 U.S.C. § 922(p); ATF Final Rule 2021R-05F
🚫
Auto-Sears, Conversion Kits & Illegal Machine Gun Conversion Devices

26 U.S.C. § 5845(b); ATF Classification
🚫
Destructive Devices

🚫
Obliterated or Altered Serial Numbers
Any firearm with an obliterated, removed, changed, or altered serial number. Sellers must disclose if a serial number appears to have been re-stamped or is otherwise unclear. EGO Arms reserves the right to hold any such listing pending ATF verification.
18 U.S.C. § 922(k)
🚫
Sales to Prohibited Persons
Sellers may not knowingly sell to prohibited persons (convicted felons, domestic violence misdemeanants, persons under felony indictment, etc.). All transfers require a NICS check at the receiving FFL, which serves as the final safeguard.
18 U.S.C. § 922(g)

Allowed With Conditions

These items may be listed on EGO Arms only when specific requirements are met and fully disclosed in the listing.

⚠️
NFA Items (Suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, AOW, Pre-1986 Machine Guns)
NFA-regulated items may be listed by licensed dealers (Class III SOT) only. Private sellers may not list NFA items. Listings must clearly state Form 4 transfer requirements, tax stamp amount, and estimated processing time. Buyer must be in a Form 4 transfer-eligible state. See the NFA Auctions section.
⚠️
C&R (Curio & Relic) Eligible Firearms
Firearms that are at least 50 years old or on the ATF C&R list may be transferred to licensed C&R collectors without a standard FFL in some circumstances. Listings must clearly state C&R eligibility. Sellers and buyers with C&R licenses must still follow all applicable state laws.
⚠️
Short-Barreled Rifles (AR pistols, braced firearms)
Following ATF guidance changes, braced firearms and AR-style pistols may have varying regulatory status. Sellers must accurately describe barrel length, overall length, and configuration. EGO Arms recommends FFL involvement for all such transfers regardless of NFA status. Buyers in certain states may face additional restrictions.
⚠️
California, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts & Other Restricted States
Sellers may list firearms that are restricted in certain states, but must clearly indicate which states the firearm can and cannot legally be transferred to. Buyers are responsible for verifying their state's laws. EGO Arms will display state restriction warnings on listings based on known AWB configurations.
