Sign up with your email address, choose a username (your public identity on the platform), enter your state of residence, and confirm your date of birth. You must be 18 or older. Verify your email to unlock bidding — it takes about 30 seconds.
Search by make, model, caliber, or lot number. Filter by category, condition, price range, time remaining, or ZIP code proximity. Each listing has six required photos, a full description, a round count, and a documented flaw list — EGO Arms rejects listings that don't meet this standard. Enter a bid at or above the current minimum. Or enable proxy bidding — set your maximum, and EGO Arms automatically bids just enough to keep you in the lead, up to your limit. You're never charged more than you need to win. Bid increments scale with price: $2 increments at low prices, up to $500 increments at $10,000+.
You're notified instantly by email and in-platform notification. A checkout link appears on the listing and in your email. You have 72 hours to initiate checkout. No buyer's premium — you pay exactly the final hammer price.
Federal law requires all modern firearms to transfer through a licensed FFL dealer. In checkout, choose from 2,400+ EGO Arms partner FFL dealers near you, or provide your own dealer's info. Call ahead to confirm they accept transfers and ask their fee (typically $15–$50 — paid directly to the dealer, not EGO Arms).
EGO Arms does not process or hold payments. You arrange payment directly with the seller using Zelle, Cash App, PayPal F&F, or a third-party escrow service like GunTab (recommended for maximum protection). The checkout flow helps you select your method and coordinate. Never include the word "firearm" or "gun" in any payment memo.
The seller ships the firearm directly to your chosen FFL via USPS Priority Mail, fully insured, within 5 business days. You'll receive a tracking number. Typical transit: 2–5 business days. Track status on your Order Tracking page.
Visit your FFL with a valid government-issued photo ID. Complete ATF Form 4473 and a NICS background check — this is standard at every gun store in America, the same process as buying a new firearm. Approval typically takes minutes. Upon approval, the firearm is yours. Then confirm receipt on EGO Arms to close the order.
Creating an account is free. To list your first firearm, complete Seller Verification — a one-time identity check that protects the marketplace and builds buyer confidence. FFL dealers complete a separate dealer onboarding with license verification.
Listing is completely free. Every listing requires: 6 photos from standardized angles, a 150-word minimum description, an accurate condition grade, documented flaws, a round count estimate, and serial number on file. These standards exist for a reason: verified listings sell for 12% more and generate 3.4× more bids than under-documented ones.
Every listing is reviewed by the EGO Arms team before going live. Reviewers check photos, description quality, condition accuracy, and compliance with the Prohibited Items Policy. You'll receive an email when your listing is approved, if changes are requested, or if it's rejected with an explanation.
Once approved, your listing is live and searchable across the platform. You can track views, watchers, and bids from your Seller Dashboard. Respond to buyer messages through the inbox. Featured listing upgrades ($9.99) give you prominent placement in search results.
When the auction ends, you're notified of the winner. The buyer will select their FFL dealer and coordinate payment with you directly — EGO Arms does not process payments. Confirm the buyer's chosen FFL, agree on payment method, and get paid before shipping.
Ship within 5 business days of confirmed payment. Handguns must ship via UPS or FedEx to a licensed FFL. Long guns can ship USPS. Purchase shipping insurance for the full sale value. Enter the tracking number in your order on EGO Arms so both parties can monitor transit.
When the buyer confirms receipt on EGO Arms, the order closes and both parties are prompted to leave feedback. Listing and selling is free. If you used GunTab for payment, a 6.5% service fee applies on the hammer price — all other payment methods (Zelle, Cash App, PayPal F&F) carry no EGO Arms fee.
